A mixed-use development in East London consisting of rental apartments above a commercial space with a renovated period façade. Design by Jonathan Tuckey Design. 

 

Works undertaken: Demolition and reconfiguration works of the basement, ground and upper floors to create a second new apartment and to allow the commercial space below to be split in two units. Installation of new services, doors, new timber casement windows to entire front elevation and other fittings throughout.

 

In both apartments, the original framework of timber studs has been retained and exposed, creating open, yet layered living space. On the top floor, the original ceiling structure is visible below a newly lined plywood roof. Renovation works of the façade to reflect the original.
