A significant makeover of a gloomy Victorian house creating a light filled modern family space, without compromising any original features. Design by fourth—space.

Over 1,000 sqft were added to a four-storey Victorian terraced house by digging a basement, building side and rear extension. 

Works undertaken: dig out of the basement, installation of a below ground floor Victorian bay window and light well; removal of the back of the house to add 7m side return at 4.5m height; installation of bespoke finishes including zinc worktop to the kitchen, joinery and lighting; new glazing throughout.
